Every site is different, and where it sits is just one part of what we’re weighing when we decide if it’s a build we can do well.

The rules change lot to lot

Even within this area, the rules change lot to lot. Whitefish city limits mean a permit process, and some neighborhoods require elevation review before you can build. Out in Flathead County, most sites don’t need a building permit at all — but access, well or septic, and power still shape the budget as much as the plan does.
